Professional experience and specialist knowledge is the base for any interim tax manager. The icing on the cake is the ability to quickly integrate into the technical project and, above all, into the existing team.
During my more than 15 years of work in the field of taxation, I have been able to gather a wide range of experience, which I would be happy to assist you with. I know both the consulting side through my many years of work at one of the Big 4 companies as well as the work of an in-house specialist with project experience. In the course of my work, I set up a new tax department, supported major projects from the tax side and established Tax CMS.
From a professional point of view, VAT is particularly close to my heart. In addition to ensuring tax compliance, I have for example, accompanied the introduction of SAP 4/HANA at a company in the chemical industry, as well as tax determination during the introduction of a new transport management system for a logistic company and an international company restructuring in the Gaming sector.
When setting up a Tax CMS, VAT, as one of the most risky tax areas, is one of the core elements. Due to my VAT focus, the Tax CMS is therefore almost automatically one of my main areas of interest.
Thanks to my many years of experience in the area of compliance and reporting, I also have the necessary tools to provide operational support in the area of tax compliance. Especially in the area of VAT, I can also draw on experience in other European and non-European countries.
Due to my legal background, my approach to tax issues sometimes differs from that of my colleagues with a finance background. In my experience, it is particularly helpful when putting together project teams if you can also contribute another perspective on the project.
Among other things I was able to demonstrate my leadership experience as head of a 5-person tax department of a listed logistics group.
In particular, when there is a vacancy in the management of a tax department to be bridged, it is important to bring the team together and keep it in such a time of upheaval. I pay great importance to team spirit, empathy and open, appreciative communication.
As a true team player, I find it easy to quickly get involved in teams and drive projects forward. Especially in a professional context, I consider interpersonal relationships to be the be-all and end-all to make teams successful. Due to my open-minded and down-to-earth nature, I easily manage to form the interface between the tax department and operations, sales, IT and other stakeholders.
